This is a switch for the terrace lighting.

A new outlet on the left for the grill and another general purpose outlet on the right.

An outlet under the bar for the refrigerator.

An outlet under the bar for the margarita machine!

An outlet by the sunning area for the misting fan!

The bench has now been covered with ipe.  The bench should get a lot of use.

Stonework

The stone on the kitchen island is coming along.

Cladding started on the east-side planters.

Interesting perspective!

Final Plants

The last of the plants are in the process of being planted.  Rain interrupted progress, but they should be finished today with all plantings, irrigation, and mulch.

Work continues on the planter cladding.  This looks so much better than exposed plywood!

All of the cement board has been added to the kitchen area.  As seen on the lower right of this picture, the stone work has begun.

Planters and Plumbing

They've started adding the ipe cladding to the sides of the planters.  Looks good so far.

More cement board added to the kitchen walls.

Plumbing under the kitchen.  Each valve is a separate zone.

The bench framing is now stretching the entire width.
The last birch tree is finally in the ground surrounded by the remaining plants.

Sockets, Switches, Bench

The electrician was here Friday to connect the wiring laid the first week prior to add appliances to the kitchen.  He also added boxes ready to accept sockets for power at various locations around the terrace and a switch for the lights.  The carpenters added cement board to the outside of the kitchen to which the stone will be applied.

The start of our bench.
